6 page feature in Professional Photo magazine
A great 3 page feature on my project “The Industry” in this month’s Professional Photo magazine. The personal project used environmental portraiture to document all of the roles involved in creating an image for an advertising campaign. Although my focus is usually lifestyle, I really enjoy shooting portraiture, especially on location.
The article discusses the process I used to shoot the project in such a short time and also how I aim to shoot at least one personal project every 6 months. It covers technical details about how I lit the portraits and also retouching.
Personal projects are an brilliant way for any photographer to push them selves and I have found them to be vital when showing work to agencies and prospective clients. As a lifestyle photographer, I am currently focusing new personal projects towards documenting real life situations and emotions. I would also like to use these projects as a way to include a more diverse age range in my work.
