Car Boots

I love a quirky British event, and nowhere does that better than a car boot sale. These images were shot over a few different boot sales in the coastal towns of Hayling Island and Littlehampton. I didn’t realise until I started chatting to people and overhearing conversations just how much of a community these boot sales create. The stall owners have their regular spots, and rather than competition, the other booters are friends who catch up for a bit of banter each week, exchanging stories about a good deal or a precious trinket they have found.
